Sometimes the best present you can give a loved one is time (it sounds cheesy, but it's true). So, why not pledge to take an elderly relative to the seaside when the weather improves? Or offer to babysit for a friend with young children who needs a night off.

Plan a gig or concert

Do some online research to discover what events are coming up in your area in the new year.

Who knows, you and your loved one may discover a new hobby or passion.
